coenzyme in the citric acid cycle, promoting
ATP production from carbohydrate metabolism.
It also promotes amino acid and fat
utilization. An open study suggested the
potential for riboflavin to promote cranial
vessel comfort. In a three-month double blind,
randomized controlled trial involving 55
subjects, riboflavin supplementation provided
significant support for cranial blood vessels,
a role that may be attributed to supporting
healthy cerebral mitochondrial energy
metabolism.
